Teniendo como herramientas a aquellos que en la Iglesia han sido siempre sus medios de espiritualidad mon\u00e1stica: escuchar la palabra de Dios, vida lit\u00fargica y sacramental, orar de coraz\u00f3n, ejercicio de la caridad fraterna. En el mundo: los miembros de la comunidad no se retiran en las ermitas. No viven normalmente en la soledad, pero viven como monjes en el mundo, entre los hombres y las estructuras sociales. Trabajan en oficios, en la escuela, en lugares p\u00fablicos, en la casa, son hombres y mujeres, j\u00f3venes y ancianos, casados y solteros: unidos en una sola familia mediante una consagraci\u00f3n, gracias a la cual se dona y se entrega al Verbo de Dios, a la virgen madre y a la iglesia. Llego a Florencia a la Di\u00f3cesis de San Miniato en 1945 y fue acogido por el Cardenal Elia Dalla Costa por solicitud de Giorgio La Pira. El vivi\u00f3 en un convento cerca de Porta Romana. Era un peque\u00f1o grupo de mujeres, ya unidas por un fuerte vinculo religioso, quienes pidieron a Don Divo fueran guiadas por el camino espiritual. Se acepta la protesta. El padre \u2013 desde ahora fue siempre llamado as\u00ed – pronto les dio un programa preciso de vida: la celebraci\u00f3n diaria de la Liturgia de las Horas, compromiso de mantener el sentimiento de la Divina Presencia incluso en el flujo normal de la vida cotidiana, estudio y meditaci\u00f3n de la sagrada escritura y de los textos de la gran tradici\u00f3n cristiana oriental y occidental, encuentro de grupo todas las semana y un d\u00eda de retiro al mes. Barsotti siente fuertemente la necesidad que en la iglesia se despierte la sensibilidad a la primicia de los valores contemplativos como parte integral de la vocaci\u00f3n de los bautizados. En cualquier estado de vida que est\u00e1 viviendo. De ah\u00ed tambi\u00e9n el nombre elegido por Don Divo para la familia religiosa que se estaba formando en torno: Comunidad de los hijos de Dios, el nombre propio de la iglesia. Poco a poco la Comunidad fue creciendo y en los a\u00f1os de 1950 a 1960 se formaron grupos en varias partes de Italia: en Viareggio, Venecia, Palermo, M\u00f3dena, N\u00e1poles… incluso la estructura de la comunidad se fue lentamente emergiendo., hasta su ultima definici\u00f3n, fue entonces cuando se dio cuenta de la vida en com\u00fan dentro de la Comunidad, y abrieron algunas casas, masculinas y femeninas, con una vida entorno muy cerca de la disciplina religiosa en sentido cl\u00e1sico. Es la primera rama de la comunidad. – Los reci\u00e9n casados o parejas que deseen participar en la vida familiar siguiendo los dictados de los consejos evang\u00e9licos y luego profesar los votos de pobreza, castidad conyugal y obediencia. Es la segunda rama. – Quienes, sin dejar vivir en el mundo, quiere vivir su don de Dios en estado virginal puede profesar votos religiosos de pobreza, castidad y obediencia. (Tercera rama). – Por \u00faltimo, la cuarta rama implica la vida religiosa en las casas de vida com\u00fan, con hermanos y hermanas que lo dejan todo para vivir en peque\u00f1as fraternidades cuya configuraci\u00f3n es t\u00edpicamente la vida mon\u00e1stica: oraci\u00f3n, silencio, trabajo, estudio. Los sacerdotes diocesanos se pueden unir a la comunidad, manteniendo su identidad secular y la colocaci\u00f3n de s\u00ed mismo en la primera o la tercera rama.<\/p>\n Gobierno<\/strong><\/p>\n Los superiores de toda la comunidad (can\u00f3nicamente es el moderador) es un hermano sacerdote de la cuarta rama, elegidos cada seis a\u00f1os, asistido en el gobierno por dos laicos consagrados, un hombre y una mujer (los Asistentes Generales). Los tres juntos constituyen la presidencia. Otros \u00f3rganos centrales son la Asamblea General y el Consejo de la Comunidad. Especially in the Christian East, the monastic state of life is understood as the full realization of the condition of grace of the baptized person. Being a monk means living as a specific vocation the tension towards the full realization of the baptismal vocation, common to all. On this basis, Don Divo Barsotti, inspired by Eastern and specifically Russian spirituality, deemed it possible to propose to the simple baptized person, while immersed in the realities of the world, the monastic ideal, in the dimension of a ‘monasticism of the heart’, an ‘internalized monasticism’ .<\/p>\n For this reason, the means that the Community offers to respond to this specific vocation are those specific to the great monastic tradition: liturgical and sacramental life, prayer and listening to the Word of God, fraternal life. According to established programs, the members of the Community meditate on a book of Holy Scripture every month in order to read the Bible in a six-year cycle; they frequent the sacramental and liturgical life of the Church as much as possible; they pray every day with the Liturgy of the Hours, at least in some of its parts.<\/p>\n During the week the consecrated people meet in small groups; meetings in which we pray, do biblical training, assimilate the spirituality of the Founder, exchange ideas and help each other to enter ever deeper into the heart of spiritual life. Every month there is an extended meeting between the various groups existing in the same area (meeting) and a half-day retreat, favoring the religious dimension of silence. Finally, during the year several five-day spiritual exercise courses are organized in various regions of Italy, as well as a pilgrimage to get to know places significant for our spirituality. He stayed in a convent near the Porta Romana. Four laywomen, already strongly united in faith, asked Don Divo to be their spiritual director. He devised a rule of life for them, which included praying the Liturgy of the Hours, keeping the Presence of God constantly in mind, and studying and meditating on the Holy Bible and the great works of Christian Tradition from the churches of both East and West. He specified contemplative prayer as a vital part of the baptismal call in every walk of life. The ladies called him \u201cThe Father\u201d. This is the FIRST BRANCH of the Community. - Married persons or couples who desire a committed family life following the evangelical counsels and thus professing the vows of poverty, conjugal chastity and obedience. This is the SECOND BRANCH. - Those who, though living in the world, wish to give themselves to God in the state of celibacy, profess religious vows of poverty, perfect chastity and obedience (THIRD BRANCH) - Finally, the FOURTH BRANCH, for brothers and sisters who live religious life in houses of common life and leave everything to live in small fraternities with a typical monastic way of life: prayer, silence, work, study. Even diocesan priests may join the Community, whilst maintaining their own identity as secular priests and becoming part of either the first or third branch.<\/p> Government<\/strong><\/p> The SUPERIOR of the whole community (defined by Canon Law as the Moderator) is a brother priest of the fourth branch, elected every six years, who governs the Community side-by-side with two lay consecrated members, one man and one woman (the Assistants General). Together they form the PRESIDENCY. Other central organs of government are the Assembly General and the Council of the Community. Those who are locally in charge of different Familes, which are set up by region, are the FAMILY ASSISTANTS.<\/p> Joining the CFD<\/strong><\/p> To join the Community, one goes through a preliminary period called aspirancy. Especially in the Christian East, the monastic state of life is understood as the full realization of the condition of grace of the baptized person. Being a monk means living as a specific vocation the tension towards the full realization of the baptismal vocation, common to all. On this basis, Don Divo Barsotti, inspired by Eastern and specifically Russian spirituality, deemed it possible to propose to the simple baptized person, while immersed in the realities of the world, the monastic ideal, in the dimension of a 'monasticism of the heart', an 'internalized monasticism' .<\/p> For this reason, the means that the Community offers to respond to this specific vocation are those specific to the great monastic tradition: liturgical and sacramental life, prayer and listening to the Word of God, fraternal life. According to established programs, the members of the Community meditate on a book of Holy Scripture every month in order to read the Bible in a six-year cycle; they frequent the sacramental and liturgical life of the Church as much as possible; they pray every day with the Liturgy of the Hours, at least in some of its parts.<\/p> During the week the consecrated people meet in small groups; meetings in which we pray, do biblical training, assimilate the spirituality of the Founder, exchange ideas and help each other to enter ever deeper into the heart of spiritual life. Every month there is an extended meeting between the various groups existing in the same area (meeting) and a half-day retreat, favoring the religious dimension of silence. The Community of the Sons and Daughters of God<\/h2>
Members live the mystery of adoption as God\u2019s children (\u200bGal,4:5\u200b, Eph,1:5, Rm,8:15+23) in the world according to monastic spiritual tradition.
Members don\u2019t live in hermitages\u200b or\u200bin solitude, but as \u2018monks in the world\u2019\u200b,\u200bamong \u200bpeople\u200bin life. They work as men and women of all ages in ordinary jobs, married or single. They are united in one family through one consecration, through which\u200b they\u200bgive and entrust \u200bthem\u200bselves to the Eternal Word, to the Blessed Virgin, and to the Church.<\/p>
They met as a group weekly, and made a retreat every month. Don Divo\u2019s name for the new religious family was \u201cThe Community of the Sons and Daughters of God\u201d. The name describes the Church herself. The Community grew in the 1950s with groups forming in Viareggio, Venice, Palermo, Modena and Naples. As the structure of the Community took shape, monastic houses for monks and nuns developed along traditional conventual lines, making it a \u201creligious family\u201d of various states of life \u2013men and women, young and old, celibate and married. Today the Community of the Sons and Daughters of God is in Australia, Benin, Colombia, Sri Lanka and the United Kingdom.<\/p>
